The Surry County Historical Society and the Tri-County Book Club invite you to our free community event…

Authors’ Night
Wednesday, March 18, 2020

To be held at….
Surry United Methodist Church, 357 Colonial Trail East, Town of Surry
6:15-6:50-Come early for book signings and meet the authors!
7:00- Program with each author speaking to us for 10-15 minutes.

Authors will stay another 30 minutes or so after the meeting to sign books and talk with you!
Featuring area authors:

Bre`cha Byrd is a young Surry County High School senior. Author of the recently published book for teens Self Love…L O V E S E L F… ($10.00 at event/$11 Amazon &Barnes and Noble)

Deborah Harrison Dawson, a Surry resident, and the librarian at Surry County High. Her book is Images of America: Surry County. ($22.00)

Melissa Seeley Face, a native of Wakefield, current resident of Prince George, and an English teacher at the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School. Her new book for parents is, I Love You More Than Coffee. ($16.95) (Amazon)

William (Bill) Fox, a resident of Williamsburg with ties to Surry County through the Johnson and Rogers Family. His book is entitled The James River. ($25)

Doris Ellis Jackson, a Surry native and resident. Her book is Going Out a Champion: The Coach Joe Ellis Story. The book tells the story of her late husband Joe’s battle with cancer and his team’s great win at the state basketball tournament. Ms. Dawson and Mr. Fox are members of the Surry County Historical Society and their books are featured at the building in Surry. Profits from their books benefit the Historical Society.
All five authors will have books for sale, but you may bring your own copy!
