Our March Book of the Month is a favorite of many Surry residents, Guide to the Buildings of Surry and the American Revolution by James D. Kornwolf. The book was copyrighted in 1977 by the Surry Country 1776 Bicentennial Committee. The book has since been reprinted by Mr. Kornwolf’s widow and Carolyn Keen, an area historian. Chapter 1 beings with “The Buildings of Surry: 369 Years of People and Places”. Read about Colonial and Post Revolutionary Churches in our county, as well as historical architecture in Surry County, including those on plantations, farms, villages, and towns.
