About Our Organization
Surry County, VA Historical Society and Museums, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of stories, artifacts, and historical sites of Surry County, Virginia.
The Society was founded on February 28th, 1998 by a group of Surry County citizens dedicated to carry on the historical legacies of one of the oldest counties in the United States. With over 200 members, the Surry County Historical Society continues to seek out passionate historians to help share the stories of Surry County’s past.
