*We encourage those who attend who want to help the Society with this event by becoming a Donor or Sponsor and contributing to help us meet the event’s expenses! Please consider donating at the door or beforehand to the Historical Society.*

Join President Ulysses S. Grant (Erik Curren) and Abolitionist Frederick Douglass (Nathan M. Richardson) for a conversation about the American Civil War and Reconstruction. Hear their stories about slavery, the antebellum, as well as reflections on the personal relationship they forged during reconstruction in the years after the Civil War. This is a first-person interpretation and will be an immersive conversation that allows the audience to ask questions of both historic characters. This will be the first time the two impersonators have appeared together. Designed for children and adults. Students are encouraged to attend.
